In
my view Japan has been leading the market of video games and mobile
devices. Sony and Nintendo has been the two big company that invented
lots of gaming devices. For Sony, they even expand their market on
phones with a lot of functions. From time to time, Japan has been
releasing new stuff that we wouldn't expect. Which it's the reason that
why they're so attractive and people would buy their interesting
products.
As
we can see in the video, the second generation of the PSP now support
the touch screen function, which it’s kind of new to me since I haven’t
go online and search for new things that came out on the devices market.
People nowadays is expecting more and more function on a small device.
Which that is why the company has to improve their product and have more
ideas on how to change about their stuff to make more money. Phone is
another example. Lately, Sony has been announcing new phones which they
focus on different markets. Some focus on taking great HD pictures, some
focus on gaming. But whatever they do, they are still trying to balance
up their hard wares with some special function that’s likely different
to others.
Now
that they have been making their products to let people can be relying
with all those function people can use with it, they then found the new
possible market which is the social games. Social networking is also a
big fact that people loves. Which we can prove it by how many people are
using Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, etc. There are lots of game in
Facebook that’s written by different people and that brought people gets
the chance of playing them with friends. There are tons of games in
Facebook that you can play around, and compare the scores with people,
or even get to play with them. I believe Japan is aiming for how people
now also socializes via mobile devices or home devices. (PS3 and Xbox
360 already have chat system or so..) Then there is the market for
people playing games in their home or at bus, but yet that they can be
talking with their friends and play games together.
